I produced this book during my final year of university, after a year long study of graphic wit in ambient media. The book aims to explore the origins of ambient media, from the dawn of mark making, to current commercial applications. Alongside this, I investigated the art of humour and the definition of 'graphic wit'. The underlying hypothesis is that the two can be combined and that by doing so, the effects can be strengthened.
